Forest Resource Collaborative

working together to protect our Forested Communities

Thank you for visiting! FRC is a 501c3 nonprofit, based on the Georgetown Divide, and provides program implementation and support for entities from the Sacramento region. We are proud to be part of the resource management community and grateful to contribute to the social, economic, and environmental health of the region.

About FRC

The Forest Resource Collaborative is a California nonprofit organization that was created in 2022 for the purpose of developing and supporting forest health projects on the Georgetown Divide.

Since the divide region is made up of small rural communities and a diverse mixture of parcel sizes and uses, there are opportunities for neighboring landowners, both public and private, to collaborate to enhance the forest health environment, social engagement, and economic opportunities and values in the community.

The Forest Resource Collaborative envisions  forests that are managed with consideration for resource use, tree and wildlife health, ease of maintenance, fire adaptation and safety, and access.  Sharing of resources and information, developing volunteer opportunities and enhancing the ability of local residents to use and enjoy the environment around them is our goal.

The long-term vision of the Forest Resource Collaborative is to support the development and coordination of local markets for forest products, grant-funded project implementation, mapping, and coordinated forest management across multiple ownerships through a collaborative model.
